Humble ISD’s Atascocita and Summer Creek High Schools have undergone significant additions and renovations, exemplifying the district’s commitment to providing students with state-of-the-art facilities that foster learning and holistic development.
Project Highlights:
- Atascocita High School’s Classroom Enhancement: Spanning over 48,324 sf, the two-story addition features 20 typical classrooms and 3 specialized CTE classrooms. Seamlessly integrated with the existing structure, it caters to the growing student population and the need for specialized spaces.
- Gymnasium Additions: Both Atascocita and Summer Creek High Schools received upgrades in the form of new practice gymnasiums. Atascocita saw the addition of a practice gym and a welcoming lobby to their existing facility, while Summer Creek’s 10,222 sf practice gym complements their already robust sports facilities.
- Expanding Athletic Amenities: Recognizing the significance of physical education and sports in student development, both schools experienced expansions of their weight rooms, storage, and locker facilities. Atascocita’s expansion totaled 9,828 sf, and Summer Creek’s was closely matched at 9,811 sf.
These enhancements not only significantly increase the schools’ capacity but also solidify Humble ISD’s position at the forefront of delivering quality education in state-of-the-art environments.
